For committing an act of pure decency, three black women are being ostracized by many other black people. • On the night of June 29, Delores Keen, Renee Roundtree and Rose Dodson rushed outside Keen's apartment after they heard gunshots. They discovered two Tampa police officers, David Curtis and Jeffrey Kocab, lying together on the ground. The officers had been shot. Dontae Morris, a 24-year-old black ex-convict, would be charged in the shootings.

2 young men, 2 juveniles charged for shooting at police cruiser

Four people were charged Monday for allegedly spraying a police cruiser with bullets, narrowly missing the patrolman inside the car in South Toledo. Raul Moya, 16, Martin Cheno, 20, Jorge Rojas, 19, and Chadd Rabara, 17, whose address were unavailable, were charged with attempted aggravated murder and felonious assault. Mr. Cheno and Mr. Rojas were being held in the Lucas County jail and Mr. Moya was being held in the Juvenile Justice Center. Mr. Rabara remained at large Monday night, police said. California police fatally shoot 15-year-old suspected of driving a stolen vehicle

Police in Southern California say officers shot and killed a 15-year-old suspected of driving a stolen vehicle. Bakersfield police began pursuing the 2001 Acura around 9:20 p.m. Friday. They say the driver stopped, but then backed into a patrol car after being approached by two officers. The officers opened fire multiple times, striking the teen. Police say he was pronounced dead at Kern Medical Center.

TAMPA — Two Tampa police officers were killed Tuesday after being shot during a traffic stop, police said. A massive search for two suspects was launched as the city reeled from the second fatal police shooting in less than a year. The shooting suspect, the passenger in the car, already was wanted on an outstanding warrant, police said. TAMPA - Two Tampa police officers died from injuries sustained during a shooting while they conducted a traffic stop early this morning. A massive search is under way for the suspects – a man and woman in a red 1994 Toyota Camry. Officer Jeffrey Kocab, 31, had been with the department for about 14 months and leaves behind a wife who is nine months pregnant. BELVIDERE, Tenn. -- Friends and co-workers of Deputy Mike Claiborne said he was out house hunting when he was shot and killed Saturday night. According to authorities, Claiborne, 25, was with his girlfriend when he was shot in the head at a residence on Rowe Gap Road. Claiborne was off-duty at the time, said investigators.
